Probably unicode and these need to be removed or decoded before insertion into the DB

So basically do:
ALTER TABLE books CONVERT TO CHARACTER SET utf8mb4;
Also maybe:
ALTER DATABASE books CHARACTER SET utf8mb4 COLLATE utf8mb4_unicode_ci;
And :
mysqlcheck -u root -p --auto-repair --optimize --all-databases
